My team. My women. My family.
On the Race, the squad is broken up into groups of 5-7 called your team. The way we explain it is, the squad is your church and your team is your small group. Gap G is my church and Avodah is my small group.
Avodah consists of 6 beautiful women after the Father’s heart. I get to tell you all about those women in a second but first, let me tell you a little about what Avodah means to us and why we chose this name for our team. Avodah is a Hebrew word that means work, worship, and service under the Lord. We want to live a life working for, serving, and worshiping the Father. We want to embody the word Avodah on our Race and in our lives. That is our heart behind our team name.
Now, let me introduce you to the group of gals who are so near and dear to my heart.
Ellie. Avodah’s team leader. A woman who knows the Father deeply. She so intentionally walks in integrity, humility, and love. She leads with gentleness and boldness. Ellie is so funny and laughs often & freely. The way she lives her life inspires me.
Alyssa Rey. Rey is a servant from head to toes and heart to soul. I see the Father’s heart in how she so selflessly gives and serves in so many different ways. Rey is so gentle and caring. She gets giddy about the simple, sweet things and is excited about life. Once ya know Rey, ya love Rey.
Ruth ann. Ruthie! A sweet woman. Ruthie is wise & humble. Ruthie so dearly wants others to feel loved and known. She is tenderhearted and walks so sweetly with the Father. Also, her knowledge and love of the bible will blow ya away. Ruthie is a woman ya want to know.
Via! What a gal. She doesn’t enter a room without making someone smile. Via is fearless and she speaks life. She is bold and goofy. Via is so loyal and wants others to be well taken care of. She is a precious light in the Kingdom and a true JOY to be around.
Abbi! What a friend you have in Abbi. Abbi is boldly kind. She encourages with love and she encourages often. She is firmly rooted in the Father and it is so evident in the way she lives her life. Abbi is truly one of the funnest people I have ever met. A sweet gem for sure.
And me. A woman who considers herself lucky to do life with these women. <3
